Welcome to another edition of SATELLITE SELECTS. As we wrap up the end of 2020, the momentum seems to have continued all the way from October to make Q4 one of the biggest and most sonically diverse release windows seen in years. As we work on sorting through hundreds of releases from the rest of 2020 to prepare some important end-of-year content, enjoy the latest selection of new tracks from all edges of electronic music.
We were very excited to contribute a release to this list with Distant Arrays Volume 01, the first edition of our new various artist series - out now on all major platforms.
RTR - Symmetriades (Analogical Force)

Released on December 4th, 2020 - support on Bandcamp here
Madrid-based label Analogical Force has quickly taken over the middle ground between aged genres like braindance and modern club music. Always hosting a wide range of electronic heavyweights on their roster, one of their best releases of this year actually came from a mysterious producer named RTR. Symmetriades is both their second full release and second album of this year - it touches on everything from electro, to ambient, to breakcore, and more.
Favorite tracks: Iloveyou, VBSVBSWG.AQ@mm, ICrashed.Gen
Ash Koosha - HALLUCiNATO (Self-Released)

Released on December 10th, 2020 - support on Bandcamp here
Known for meddling in artificial intelligence and developing new methods to create some of the most unique music heard in recent time, Iranian artist Ash Koosha returns to our radar with HALLUCiNATO. Though coined as a mixtape, this collection of tracks feels like his most cohesive work since 2018 when he released Aktual and Return 0. Considering his processes always produce an experimental sculpture of grouped sound, it is rather hard to identify any specific influences he may have - though there are some remnants of Persian rhythms fused with uneasy ambient music and hyperpop.
Favorite tracks: Careless, Monster Inn, Co Op
Eva808 - Sultry Venom (Innamind Recordings)

Released on December 18th, 2020 - support on Bandcamp here
One of the biggest surprises for us from this month came from Icelandic producer EVA808 and her debut album Sultry Venom on one of dubstep's hottest labels Innamind Recordings. Normally, we are more versed in electronica-based genres and club music, making this release a thrilling one. Pushing her skills further beyond the standardized dubstep formula, the album contains some incredibly tough hip-hop beats, older 140 BPM styles, and a fun ride through other tempos as well. Sultry Venom is a collage of bass that is able to tie emotion to heavier tracks - it is overall refreshing to hear a project like this come out of modern dubstep.
Favorite tracks: Drowning, I Saw the Devil, No Rivals
We hope you enjoy our selection of new music to discover; a typed list is provided below for archiving purposes as the Spotify playlist is updated each month to showcase new releases.
